THRIFTY FINDS - UPCYCLED VINTAGE APOTHECARY BOTTLE VASES
I want to share these adorable Apothecary bottles i found at a local thrift sale recently. They sat hidden in a kitchen cupboard for a few weeks before i could decide what to do with them. These decisions are important :) The material adds a fab Autumn/Fall feel to the lounge and once again i LOVE the Lavender
DIY - CUTE & SUPER EASY GREEN LEAFY WREATH
The name says it all.
I adore this little beauty! The gorgeous green wreath now sits proudly upon the large mirror above our fireplace in the lounge.
It takes just FOUR (yes four!) items to make this and it takes roughly around 10 minutes to make.

THE PLAYHOUSE DIARIES - UP-CYCLED 'DIY' KIDS BOOKCASE
So far i haven't shared much from our garden Playhouse. This is about to change...
Over the last week i have been snapping away and finishing up the final details, it looks SO good and our little girls both love it. We purchased the Playhouse locally and began by giving it a good coat (or five, yes five!) of paint. You can check our our colour choices here. I can't wait to show you all the projects and the finish product.
> DIY curtains and cushions (from vintage floral sheets)
> DIY kitchen sink and cooker (which were up-cycled from old Ikea cabinets)
> DIY decoupaged table which i got for FREE (its so cute)
and SO many more...
You can visit us at The Playhouse Diaries HERE - This will be kept updated on all the exciting projects from the playhouse.
To the first project...
I love to find a bargain, who doesn't? But when i stumbled upon this old, bashed pink wall shelving at a thrift sale i only had one place in mind for it, The Playhouse. The wall unit didn't need anything in the way of repairs it would just a colour issue. The pink colour was a lacquered covering which initially worried me but as this unit cost a mere 50p (80c) i couldn't pass it by.
Would you like to see the finished result?
THRIFTY FINDS - IKEA HACK! UPCYCLED PHOTO FRAMES WITH 'DIY' CHALK PAINT
In our house we are big Ikea fans. Great products and a great price. We had these frames from our first home (so they've been around a while!) We purchased them, as we purchased most of our house items in Oak. Oak was versatile, we liked the look.
Fast forward several years...
A couple of the frames a scratched, some bits have pealed. Basically they look tired, don't match our new home, are dated, I'm tired of how they look (which is tired too) and I'm no longer their greatest fan. Long story short...I don't like them.
So my choices. 1. Buy new frames. 2. Upcycle my current frames.
Wasn't really a choice... was it ;)
