DIY - RIBBON & CHAIN BRACELETS
Each year during the summer (and around festival season) more and more bracelets hit the shop shelves, i must admit i LOVE bracelets, so stocking up is a must! My bracelets of choice are the cord adjustable type but this summer i have found the 'chain' bracelet. These are not only SUPER cute but due to the metal are really durable - win win.
Here you will find an easy tutorial to make these super cute bracelets...
I purchased a length of chain from a local hardware store (i think i bought a meter which worked out to a cost of around 80p) when i had measured the chain around my wrist i managed to get FIVE lengths which made me FIVE separate bracelets for a grand some of 80p (the ribbon is from my craft store) they look great threaded with different ribbon thicknesses and colours then stacked on your wrist, the handy extra ribbon at the end means you can knot or tie in a bow. Cute!
WHAT YOU NEED
Chain (to fit around your wrist)
Ribbon (the length of your chain PLUS around 5inch extra at each end)
Scissors
WHAT YOU DO
> Feed the ribbon through the first link of the chain, tie a secure knot (leave 3/4inch for tying the bracelet once complete
> Begin to feed the ribbon through the chain links, there are many variations you could try, i just fed the ribbon through each middle loop keeping the ribbon flat
> At the end of the chain tie another knot to the last chain link cut down the remaining ribbon to match the 3/4inch at the start
> Tie around your wrist
> Enjoy
